Reaching the SCLS Help Desk

  • Calling the Help Desk - The SCLS Help Desk is available M-F from 8:30 - 5:00 and can be reached at:
    • (608) 242-4710 (Local)
    • (855) 583-2148 (Toll free)
  • Creating Help Desk tickets - If you prefer to submit an issue online, the SCLS Help Desk Portal is still the preferred way to submit tickets, but library staff members can also submit a ticket by sending an email to helpdesk@scls.info. (See the SCLS Get Help page for how to access the portal.)

MyPC - intermittent issue where patrons can't log into PCs

2024-04-23 5:16pm - Between 3:30 and 5pm we had reports that patrons were intermittently unable to log into MyPC.  The MyPC client displayed the message "You are not allowed in this location" even though the patron had a card in good standing.  We have reported the issue and will be investigating.   The clients seem to be working now, but if you have issues again this evening, please page.  We would also be interested to know if this happens again, whether selfchecks are also experiencing issues looking up cards at the time this is happening.   THanks.

MyPC Firefox Logon Issue

2024-04-23 12:00pm A number of sites have reported issues logging into MyPC in Firefox. The issue goes away in private mode and is entirely nonexistent in Chrome. We are aware of the issue and working on a solution.

 

Bibliovation upgrade, April 22 at 9pm

MyPC server replacement - COMPLETE

2024-04-23 9:07amBOOKMARKS - if you had previously created bookmarks to MyPC or Papercut while logged in, they will likely not work and you will need to recreate them.   You can use these URLs to access MyPC and Papercut:

  • Papercut:  papercut.scls.info
  • Papercut Release page:  papercut.scls.info/release

2024-04-23 8:35am - we are still finishing up the server replacement.  MyPC is up and running, but we are still ironing out some issues with printing.  If you need to release print jobs, please use this URL for now:  https://papercut.scls.info:9192/release

Post-Bibliovation upgrade problem

2024-02-01 10:45am: After the upgrade we have noticed that there is an increased amount of data string caching in Search field.  Please see Known Problem #3925 for details and how to clear the cached search strings.

the new SCLS website will be launching on Thursday, September 7. Content from the old site will still be available on the new site, with a new and improved look!
